About & Portfolio
I’m Tim Kendall, a petrolhead, blogger and freelance writer of motoring-related words. Having spent some years in the legal profession following my first degree, I branched out in 2010 and developed my car obsession into something more serious. Completing a Master’s Degree in Automotive Journalism at Coventry University in 2011, I’ve been published in a number of websites and magazines, including Evo , What Car? Autocar, CAR, MSN Cars and International Fleet World.
I was also fortunate enough to win the 2011 Phil Llewellin Award. The prize is aimed at writers breaking into motoring journalism and is sponsored by CAR Magazine – to which Phil Llewellin was a prolific contributor for many years.
